About a week back, I styled hair for singer/producer Mathilda D'silva, for a concert she was holding at the Esplanade, Late Night @ Esplanade with Mathilda D'Silva. It was my very first time meeting her, and I've to say, she's really cool! I enjoyed doing her hair, and it was a great experience all in all. She came in with her hair in its natural tight curled form, and opted for something flowy and elegant, with soft curls to complement her dress. Take a look!

MANJA Magazine Feb 2010 Issue
Last month, I styled hair for a beauty feature for a malay magazine, MANJA for their Feb 2010 Issue. The entire concept of the spread was wearable party looks that were glamorous yet simple to re-create. Being my second time being published, I was of course excited to see the spread when it was launched early this month! Take a look!

Punk on the Edge
Sometime back, I styled hair for a Punk Inspired photoshoot put together by photographer Adam Oei. The concept was to emulate a frazzled, angsty look, and I used Editorial Hairstyling to achieve the desired look. Here are the pictures from the series. Take a look!

Here are photos of one of my hair clients, Puva, for her 21st Birthday celebration photoshoot. She had hair which was straight at shoulder-length, and opted to have long, wavy hair for her shoot. Here are some photos of her hair transformation. Take a look!

Hair Care Reviews
Hey all! A couple of people have requested for me to review some of my most recommended products for haircare, so this post will touch on just that. Here are some of my most favourite products from the Redken line!
1. Redken Real Control Intense Renewal Super Treament (for dry/sensitized hair)
1. Redken Real Control Intense Renewal Super Treament (for dry/sensitized hair)
This product is great for chemically damaged hair. For those who have hair which have gone through repeated colouring, rebonding, perming, and other chemical treatments, this treatment conditioner is excellent for restoring ideal protein levels back into the hair. This treatment conditoner helps nourish the hair from within whilst moisturizing it. However, from usage of this product, I find that it does not moisturize as well as All Soft Heavy Cream, but it does give hair back lost strength. Hair does not break as easily, and becomes much more manageable. Aside to that, I also notice that with use of this product, the hair gives off a brilliant shine. Leave this product in the hair for 20-30 minutes and wash off.
2. Redken All Soft Heavy Cream Super Treatment (for dry/brittle hair)
This product is excellent for those who have rough, brittle, and dry hair. It intensely conditions and moistens the outer layers of the hair shaft, making it very soft and shiny. And the great thing about this product is, it gives hair soft movement and flow to the hair, and does not make hair feel greasy and stiff when used. I usually use this one to two times a week as a treatment for dry hair. I like to leave it in for 20-30 mins and wash it out once due. However, do note that this is merely a moisturising treatment product, and does not do much in the long-term repair of damaged hair. For those with chemically-damaged hair, a protein based conditioner or treatment is recommended to nourish the hair cuticles.
3. Redken Extreme Anti-Snap Leave in Treatment
This product is great for weakened hair that is prone to breakage and split ends. It contains proteins, which re-strengthens the hair shaft and nourishes hair from within. The consistency of the product is like a white liquid with medium-thickness, hence it is suitable for all hair types. Use this product after shampoo and conditioner; leave it in and style as usual. My review is that it does help in strenghtening the hair to a certain extent, but it has to be used in conjuntion with other protein treatment products from Redken for best results.
4. Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide
This product doubles up both as an anti-frizz serum and a heat-protective smoother. I usually use this before blow-drying or flat-ironing for a smooth finish and to give the hair extra protection from the heat. The serum runs clear, and has a pleasant smell of vanilla bean. I find that when used on wet hair, it dries to a nice soft finish, and the hair does not look too oily or greasy, it feels as though you didn't have anything in your hair at all. When used on dry hair, it adds just the right amount of gloss and conditioned softness. A little of this product goes a long way, so one bottle will last you a very long time. Use 2-3 pumps on wet hair and apply all over the ends and mid-shaft.

Just last week, I styled hair for one of my clients for her 21st Birthday Celebration. She came in with very curly hair and wanted a Victoria's Secret Inspired hairdo which had big bouncy curls, and that was exactly what I gave her. Take a look!
