Inspired by Givenchy - Hair Painted Black

Recently, I styled hair for a shoot for one of the Lasalle students for her degree collection. The concept was to make the model look evil and caniving, hence we went for a look that was inspired by Givenchy. The model originally had tea-colored hair, and I painted over her hair to get the color and the slimy glossy effect. Take a look!

I-Weekly 22 April 2010 Issue

Sometime last month, I did Men's Grooming (Hair & Make-Up) for TV personality Gurmit Singh, for a double-page spread and cover of I-Weekly. The concept of the shoot was to portray a vibe that was sporty and athletic, so we settled for very light and natural grooming for Gurmit. It was indeed a pleasant experience meeting Gurmit for the first time, he was indeed a really a nice and humble person to talk to! Take a look!

In January, I styled hair for a cover and editorial shoot for SCENE Magazine, a hair and beauty magazine recently launched in Singapore this year. The entire concept was to have something which was simple, yet edgy, so I opted to give the model big frayed hair. I was indeed excited when the magazine issue dropped in March, but only recently then could I get my hands on a copy! Take a look!

Sometime last month, I styled hair for a shoot with photographer Katherine Ahn. The concept was to portray something very editorial spread-like, so we went for a look which was far different from what the model, Ding, came in with. She came in with very straight Asian hair, so I made it close to an afro, but with bigger set curls. Take a look!

Advertising - Perlini's Silver REBIRTH Collection

About two months back, I styled hair for an advertising shoot for the launch of the new Perlini's Silver REBIRTH collection. The campaign was launched just last Sunday, and I was indeed excited to see huge posters of my work displayed at the Perlini's Silver stores islandwide! What was even more thrilling was to know that the campaign was going to be run in more than 5 countries, including Italy and Germany to name a few! The entire concept was to portray something edgy and punk-inspired. Take a look!
